Schorer is the Netherlands’ institute for homosexuality, health and well-being.

Schorer offers lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgenders information, knowledge and facilities with which they can improve their health and well-being.

Schorer studies the position of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgenders. In the area of HIV/STI, the annual Schorer Monitor survey is conducted among men who have sex with men.

Schorer supports healthcare organisations in designing a gay-specific and intercultural package of care services.

Schorer provides information and carries out prevention campaigns, particularly in the area of HIV/STI.

In and around Amsterdam, Schorer offers buddy care for gay men, lesbians and transgenders. As of 2009, Schorer has already been doing that for 25 years.

Schorer is a member of the Netherlands Public Health Federation (NPHF) and a partner of OneWorld.
