On 27 and 28 September 2007 Schorer organized an International Expert Meeting on HIV Prevention for MSM and WSW. Over 60 experts from around the global North and South gathered in Amsterdam to exchange knowledge and expertise from the fields of research, policy, funding and project implementation.

The Expert Meeting made clear that there is a lot to be learned from each other. The different fields of expertise should be combined in order to make a much needed joint effort to support vulnerable communities such as men who have sex with men (MSM) and women who have sex with women (WSW). A solid base was laid during the Expert Meeting.
